Axdt 0.0.4 Is Getting Usable

Posted by mb0 on July 9th, 2008
Today i added AXDT 0.0.4 to its update site, in the hope for some feedback.

Although AXDT is still far for complete, i now can quite fluently write my code in it.

The 0.0.4 version is the last release before the first milestone. So i need your help to sort out which basic, yet essential features are still missing from the plan for 0.0.5. Feel free to add a ticket or even a simple comment below.

I will prepare a screen cast for all the new 0.0.5 features when i get the time. For now you can test them yourself:

  • Editor templates are quite handy to quickly generate standard code structures
  • there are smart wizards that will respect your source folder.
  • the ActionScript wizard uses templates to create initial content
  • initial auto-folding can be configured in the preference
  • you can convert tabs to spaces
  • feasible launcher settings that help to adapt to your work flow

I will not offer code completion (other than editor templates) in the 0.0.5 milestone version because i first need to get a better grammar working. But it is planed for next big milestone 0.1.0.

Have fun!
